Essential Oil Recipes for Summer
Essential oils are incredible to use all year round, but I seem to find myself pulling them out an awful lot in the summer months…and especially sharing them with friends.
Creating a “Summer Kit” of oils + blends to have on hand ahead of time makes those last minute trips to the beach and campground a little easier.
These are our families go to blends:
Motion Sick Spray:
10 d peppermint
5 d spearmint
5 d lemon
mix all in a 4oz spray bottle and top with water…spray + inhale (can also make in a roller and rub on the soles of feet, wrists, back on neck and inhale).
Wellness Blend:
15 d orange
5 d clove
5 d rosemary
5 d cedarwood
add to a 10ml roller bottle + top with fractionated coconut oil….colds are still around in the summer so protect yourself!
Germ Spray:
10 d lemon
10 d tea tree
5 d lavender
always handy for those sneaky bathroom breaks with no access to water 🙏..best to be prepared!
Owie Helper:
10 d tea tree
10 d lavender
10 d frankincense
mix with 1 tbsp of witch hazel + 1 tbsp of fco and add to a roller or spray bottle…helpful for scrapes, bruises, bug bites, slivers, bee stings…..
Tummy Blend:
20 d digestive blend
10 d orange
a never leave home without it blend….enough said.
Itch Soother:
10 d tea tree
10 d lavender
10 d frankincense
Similar to the Owie Blend 🙏 could add some peppermint for cooling.
Lice Spray:
10 d lavender
10 d tea tree
5 d eucalyptus
5 d rosemary
add to a 4oz spray bottle + top with water. Spray the head BEFORE going for a sleepover in a tent! These pest love to find a nice clean head at this time of year …. ick.
After Sun Spray:
10 d peppermint
10 d lavender
add to a 4oz spray bottle + top with water…spray after a day in the sun to help cool and heal.
